January 17th, 2024-New Year, New Members! The Buffone Lab welcomes Daniella Delgado and Seejal Padhi as undergrads who joined the lab for independent study this semester!

May 22nd, 2023-The Spring 2023 semester is in the books and summer is in the air in NJ! Look for exciting things to come from the Buffone Lab.

January 17th, 2023-As the Spring 2023 semester starts, we have many exciting things going on in the Buffone Lab. We are finally up and running in our lab space! Prof. Buffone is teaching Fundamentals of Tissue Engineering and Habibul Islam is joining us as a Ph.D. Student. Welcome Habibul!!!

November 29th, 2022- Prof. Buffone now has a joint appointment in the Otto H. York Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at NJIT in addition to his appoitnment in Biomedical Engineering. Any Chemical and Materials Engineering Students interested in research opportunites otr grad school should reach out to Prof. Buffone.

November 4th, 2022- Prof. Buffone has been accepted as an Affiliate Member of the Center for Engineering Mechanobiology (CEMB). We have projects in the lab about the mechanical cues guiding upstream migration and the effects of mechanics on cancer progression. October 12-15th, 2022- Prof. Buffone will be chairing two sessions and presenting the labs research at the BMES 2022 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX! Please reach out if you will be attending as we still have open Ph.D. positions for next year!

May 2nd, 2022-Exicting News for the Buffone lab! we received our notice of award for our R01 from NIGMS with Prof. Hammer @ UPenn and Prof. Burkardt @ CHOP. In this grant, the Buffone lab hopes to understand the ciritcal signals guiding the upstream migration in neutrophils!
